Alyx & Ryan said “I do” in the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains. With their closest friends & family, they transformed a mountain top property into their own wedding venue for the weekend.

I first met Alyx when she was a coach at OTF and she wasn’t even engaged yet when she told me “I want you to shoot my wedding someday.” She had left OTF and I thought “It’s okay if she doesn’t reach out for wedding photography.” and sure enough an inquiry came into my inbox for Alyx & Ryan. I was so happy to hear from her! Plus this was my first wedding in Tennessee. I was beyond excited to witness & capture their sweet day. Keep reading to see how their day unfolded. And spoiler alert, it was beautiful.

We started the morning with mimosas for the girls and bourbon for the boys.

Alyx & Ryan chose the best people to stand by them. The ultimate hype crew in my opinion.

Not only was their wedding party amazing, but every guest in attendance worked so hard to turn their Airbnb into the most beautiful ceremony & reception space.

The ceremony was so sweet and as a unique twist, Alyx & Ryan took shots together as their unity moment. Many laughs ocurred and tears shed as they said their vows and said “I do.”

The radar said it was going to rain the entire time I was up there and the day before the wedding it was rainy and windy and the day after it was the same, but on wedding day…gorgeous, clear, sunny! We had the most beautiful light for their bride & groom portraits with the gorgeous moutains as our backdrop.

And their dance floor? OFF THE CHARTS! Just see for yourself how much fun we had!
